My mistake was I did not cut far enough in and when the lips separated, I didn’t have as much inner fender to match up with the outer fender. If it’s only rubbing on one side as your post indicates, I’d check the rear end for center alignment and check the body for alignment to the frame. Sounds like one or the other is off. If you fold it up, you'll create a 'cup' for water/salt/etc to seep into and have no real way to clean it out too well, especially if you're doing this coz you're going hella flush. Web19 apr. 2008 · Dont cut them roll them if you heat them up and take your time rolling you will not have any problems! The rear inner lip is a nice drainage for sand, mud and dirt. When you roll the inner lip, I would be scared trapping dirt in between the inner lip and inside of the outer fender.

The 1/4 OD metal rod was easy to bend into the shape I wanted. As far as I know, the "fender rolling" only pushes the inside lip of the fender UP so it doesn't cut the tire. Unless someone used a heavy duty rolling technique, I don't think the fenders would be 'tubbed' or have an excessive amount of flaring due to the fender rolling technique most people use. dave and chuck libsyn
