WebI have overboarded and skimmed many artexed ceilings and never had a problem. The secret is to find the centres of the beams and use at least 50mm dri wall screws for fixing new boards. Take off your overalls, turning them inside out as you go. Wipe your boots down with wet wipe of damp cloth. Place the overalls and wet wipes/rags in the waste bag.
